Readapt The Prince of Bel Air, in version 2020, that is what Will Smith is working on. The '90s star met a fan who made a modern and dramatic trailer for the sitcom, and decided to complete the project. Several streaming giants are in the line to produce it.

The Prince of Bel Air, mythical series for adolescents of the 1990s, could make a comeback. Will Smith, then 22, played, in this series inspired by his own story, a teenager from the poor neighborhoods of Philadelphia who found himself staying with his uncle and aunt in a very chic neighborhood of Los Angeles, Bel Air.

Will Smith on the maneuver

This series has become cult to the point that an admirer, Morgan Cooper, decided a few months ago to make a fake trailer, broadcast on YouTube, of a prince of Bel Air in current version. In Bel-Air , no more pop colors and fun, the atmosphere is much dramatic, much darker: poverty, delinquency, etc.

This rereading of the series has thrilled the Prince of Bel Air himself: Will Smith. After making contact with the filmmaker-Internet user, the actor is now in talks with various platforms to produce a reboot of the series. According to the Hollywood Reporter magazine , Netflix, Peacock and HBO Max are in the running. It remains to be seen who will hit the jackpot.
